Managing Files

The dashboard

From My Account → Uploads you can see all your uploaded files, filtered by date or type. Each file can be opened, edited, or deleted from there.

Editing a file

On a file's page, if you're the owner, you'll see editing controls. You can change:

  • Title - shown on the file's page and in search results
  • Description - optional text displayed below the file
  • Tags - keywords for organization and discovery
  • Visibility - public (accessible to anyone with the link), hidden (visible only to you), or password-protected

Password protection and automatic expiry

Any file can be set to protected, in which case visitors must enter the password you chose before they can view it. The password can be changed or removed at any time from the edit form.

From the same section you can also set an automatic deletion: either at a specific date and time, or once the file reaches a certain number of views. The file becomes inaccessible as soon as either condition is met.

A file's links

Each file has several types of links available:

  • Page link - the file's full page on the platform (pixhub.ro/i/{slug})
  • Direct link - a URL that leads straight to the raw file, with no interface (pixhub.ro/i/{slug}.jpg)
  • Thumbnail - a reduced-size preview image

The default slug (the part of the URL that identifies the file) is generated automatically, but it can be replaced with a custom slug from the edit form, for a link that's easier to remember or share.

Deleting a file

Files can be deleted from the dashboard or directly from the file's page (the Delete button). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleted files become inaccessible immediately.

Statistics

Each file shows the total number of page views and the number of direct file accesses. These statistics are updated in real time.

Tags and following

Each tag has its own page, listing all the public files and albums associated with it. From a tag's page, logged-in users can choose to follow that tag to more easily find similar content in the future.

Search

The search bar in the platform's header lets you search by title, description, or tags. Results include both your own files (private and public) if you're logged in, as well as other users' public files.
